The Journal of Scientific Engineering and Technology (JSET) follows a rigorous, transparent, and ethical peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific integrity of all published articles.
Upon submission, each manuscript is first reviewed by the Editorial Office to assess its compliance with the journal’s scope, formatting guidelines, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements or fall outside the journal’s aims and scope may be rejected at this stage without external review.
JSET employs a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential. This approach ensures an unbiased and fair evaluation based solely on the scientific merit of the work.
Each eligible manuscript is typically reviewed by two or more independent experts in the relevant field of scientific engineering and technology.
Reviewers are asked to evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:
Originality and significance of the research
Technical and scientific quality
Methodological rigor and validity
Clarity of presentation and organization
Relevance to the field of engineering and technology
Appropriateness of references and citations
Based on the reviewers’ reports, the Editor-in-Chief or Handling Editor will make one of the following decisions:
Accept without revision
Accept with minor revisions
Revise and resubmit (major revisions)
Reject
Authors are provided with constructive reviewer comments and are expected to address all concerns in a revised manuscript, accompanied by a detailed response to reviewers.
The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection rests with the Editor-in-Chief, considering the reviewers’ recommendations and the overall quality of the revised manuscript. The editorial team reserves the right to make minor editorial changes to improve clarity and consistency without altering the scientific content.
All submitted manuscripts are reviewed for potential ethical issues, including plagiarism, data fabrication, and conflicts of interest. JSET adheres to internationally recognized publication ethics and expects authors, reviewers, and editors to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity.
